SUBJECT: Resolution to Ensure the Transparency of Any Affiliation Agreement the Executive Council Enters into with Another Organization

WHEREAS, Article I, Section G specifies that questions of parliamentary law and rules of order not provided for in UAN’s Constitution, policies or adopted rules of the UAN shall be governed by Robert’s Rules of Order – Newly Revised; and

WHEREAS, the UAN Constitution makes the National Labor Assembly the governing body of the UAN that is charged with overseeing the actions taken by the Executive Council; and

WHEREAS, the National Labor Assembly in the past has voted on issues without full disclosure of all the pertinent facts and without an opportunity for full debate;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Executive Council shall provide each member of the National Labor Assembly a copy of any affiliation agreement along with copies of any documents interpreting such affiliation agreement at least thirty (30) days after such affiliation agreement is agreed to or thirty (30) days prior to the ratification vote of the National Labor Assembly, whichever is sooner.
