Who We Are UAN History UAN Executive Council Constitution Resolutions UAN Affiliates UAN Staff National Labor Cabinet National Labor Assembly Running for Office UAN Calendar Union Member Rights & Officer Responsibilities	2003 Resolution - 011 back to Resolutions Archive SUBJECT: Resolution Concerning AFL-CIO Legislative Agenda Introduced by: UAN Executive Council Date of Resolution: May 2, 2003 Action: Passed 6/24/03 WHEREAS, as a charter member of the AFL-CIO, the UAN has worked closely with the AFL-CIO's Legislative Department and other AFL-CIO affiliates to advance the interests of RNs represented for collective bargaining; and WHEREAS, through this work with the AFL-CIO, the UAN has had access to valuable resources and support for its legislative agenda; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the UAN continue to work closely with ANA and the AFL-CIO to develop a legislative agenda that advances the interests of nursing and nurses; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the UAN devote sufficient staff resources to adequately carry out this work and promote legislation that serves the needs of our members.
