Introduced by: UAN Executive Council

WHEREAS, The UAN Operating Guidelines provide for the terms of office for the officers and directors of the UAN; and

WHEREAS, The Operating Guidelines provide that “no officer or director shall serve more than two consecutive terms in the same office; and

WHEREAS, The Operating Guidelines further provide that “the term of office for UAN Executive Council members shall commence at the adjournment of the UAN National Labor Assembly”; and

WHEREAS, A proviso in the Operating Guidelines that sets forth the transitional governing body for the UAN prior to the first National Labor Assembly provides: “Elected representatives of the Executive Committee of the Institute of Constituent Member Collective Bargaining Programs whose terms have not expired by the close of the 1999 House of Delegates shall serve as the UAN Executive Council until the year 2000 or until the officers and directors are elected”;
