SUBJECT: Circulation of the UAN ACTIVIST

WHEREAS, communication is among the most valuable tools in building trust and awareness, and

WHEREAS, the ACTIVIST is an effective tool in keeping delegates and staff leaders informed of programs, activities and labor developments across the nation, and

WHEREAS, there is a strong demand to circulate the information to a larger number of registered nurse leaders, and

WHEREAS, the UAN ACTIVIST is popular and effective in organizing campaigns,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the UAN ACTIVIST be budgeted to be published at least 4 times a year, with the target months being January, April, September, and November, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a large number of the UAN ACTIVIST should be sent to each state for distribution to all local chairs and presidents of UAN member bargaining units, cabinet and council members and UAN delegates and the UAN Activist shall be placed on the UAN website in a timely manner.
