SUBJECT: U.S. Nursing Corp

Action: Resolution adopted on June 27, 2001


WHEREAS, The United American Nurses believes that strikebreaking robs registered nurses in collective bargaining of a moral and legal means to improve patient care and working conditions within the struck facility, and

WHEREAS, U.S. Nursing Corporation is known to specialize in the sordid business of providing nurse strikebreakers and thus threaten the rights and livelihoods of registered nurses, and

WHEREAS, The United American Nurses believes that U.S. Nursing Corporation is making money off the backs of dedicated registered nurses who are standing up for patient protection and the legally guaranteed right to collectively bargain,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the United American Nurses denounce the activities of U.S. Nursing Corporation and all companies that engage in the reprehensible practice of strikebreaking, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the United American Nurses take all action including devoting legislative, research and media resources to expose the behavior of U.S. Nursing Corporation and all other strikebreaker companies as detrimental to patient care and the rights of registered nurses.
